Well, I am at it again....playing with the palate....in my amateur way! Just to have fun and express myself...stimulating creativity and fun, without being attached to an outcome!!
You doing something for yourself? Here is my latest... Each day, if I pay attention, there are things that show up around me that inspire and bring a sense of continuing wonder and beauty. Today my email brought the following video clip from a musical team that I absolutely enjoy. Take a listen to their newest video post. If you are interested in more about them, check out their website - thepianoguys.com I have bought their DVD's and really enjoy the many fabulous youtube vids of their work. Hope you enjoy!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pvci1hwAx8 Here is a lovely article on Mindfulness with links to short vids by Jon Kabat-Zinn, Daniel Goleman, Rick Hanson and Shauna Shapiro. Worth the time to take a look. The article poses questions to consider, related to mindfulness, as well as links to research on this subject. Enjoy!
This is a link to a TEDx talk by Nic Askew, an extraordinary film maker. This speaks to us really determining to
'see' each other. To be fully present, not only to others, but to self. To actually allow the fullness of our being to be. I hope you enjoy it. If you feel to, please drop me a note and let me know your thoughts. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7vTlg5nCUE During this season of celebration and connection, with the entrance to the new year on the horizon, will you choose to really listen to self? To simply be and allow connection to others with compassion, trusting yourself to observe and be centered.....no matter what? Many of you know I have an ongoing commitment for life be FUN, no matter what! As well, you will know that I am dedicated to creative expression whenever possible, on many levels. Recently, I went to a FUN evening with my two oldest daughters and for the first time in my life, I painted a painting!!!
We went to an evening called "Wine and Canvas", where they show you how to paint a specific picture. They provide the canvas, paint, brushes and the teacher.....and then we can buy a glass of wine if we choose. Over the three hours it took, we all really enjoyed creating together! And each of us created a unique expression of the picture. So very interesting!! And SOOOOOOOO FUN!!!!! Now, I am happy to allow you to see my FIRST TIME effort at painting!! Not at all perfect, but JUST exactly PERFECT!!! Join us for a lovely, inspiring 'coach approach' trip to Italy! Lisa Simon and I will be exploring the wonders of Italy from Florence to Siena to Rome in March 2015! Check it out: www.MasterfulJourneys.com Here is a lovely vid clip that is quite inspiring. It's called: Nature's Beauty Inspires Gratitude. The speaker, Louie Schwartzberg, is an award-winning cinematographer, director and producer who captures breathtaking images and stories that celebrate life -- revealing connections, universal rhythms, patterns and beauty. ENJOY!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V57cuwQR8II This video is of me (Pamela) speaking at a large health care organization in-service day. Their theme was outer-space related, as you can probably tell from the head-dress a member of the senior leadership team handed me when I arrived! The 'antennae' have now become a treasured souvenir. 😄 I believe our work in the world, all of us, is to fully express our talents and brilliance in service of the overall well-being of the world (self, others, organizations, regions, countries and cultures, etc.). To that end, I am offering regular posts, with links to talks, articles and communications that contribute to forwarding this.
This is the first of a regular series of supportive shares, to enhance all of our ability to evolve and grow.....as we are some of those that bring learning and opportunities for transformation in our world. :o) Two inspiring TED talks.
